At the October 17, 2023, Council meeting Perth South Council awarded the contract for the preparation of the strategic plan 2024-2028 to Capital Park Consulting at a net cost of $29,901.26.

External Stakeholder Survey

An online survey will be circulated to residents to find out their opinions and priorities, and how they feel about their municipal taxes, programs, and services.

Interviews will be held with Council members and Township management. An interim report will be prepared and circulated.

External Stakeholder Engagement

A targeted stakeholder group will participate in surveys and focus group workshops held at the municipal office. Interim Report #2 will be prepared and circulated.
Planning Session

A two-day planning session with Council and staff will be held to discuss the contents of Interim Reports 1 and 2, review survey responses, analyze strategic plans from other municipalities, review and modify the existing Vision Statement and Mission and Values Statements in the current Strategic Plan - 2019 - 2022, conduct a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis.
Develop the Draft Strategic Plan

2024-2029 Strategic Plan has finished this stage

Based on the direction received during the planning session, a draft of the new Strategic Plan will be prepared.
Prepare Draft Final Report

2024-2029 Strategic Plan has finished this stage

The first three interim reports will be consolidated into a reference document for Council and Staff.
